Lander Art CenterThe Lander Art Center is a non-profit organization located in beautiful Lander, Wyoming. Our goal is to encourage, stimulate, and support interest in and appreciation of fine art. Exhibitions of local, regional and national art and craft change monthly. In our classroom we offer evening art classes and we bring in visiting artists to teach weekend workshops in a variety of media. We also feature a Summer of Arts Program which includes ceramics, silver, clay, cast, paper, wood constructions, painting, drawing and a lot of fun for ages 6-16.
Art Galleries and Bronze FoundryLander has several high quality galleries to visit and to find that just-right piece for yourself or a friend. In addition, the world famous Eagle Bronze Foundry conducts tours for those who have an interest the bronze casting process.
Public ArtArt is an extremely important part of Lander's identity. Over one dozen monumental bronze sculptures line Main Street. Each bronze represents a piece of Lander history or heritage. Native Americans, mountain men, wildlife, and ranching are all represented; even our very own ground hog Lander Lil has a bronze sculpture in her honor. Individual works of art adorn the light poles along Main Street in the form of banners, handpainted for the Beautification Committee by members of the Lander Artists Guild.
